2º EDUCACIÓN PRIMARIA. SOCIAL SCIENCE. UNIT 3: LAND, WATER AND AIR.

This unit is based on Earth and caring for nature.

Our main objects are:
- Know the properties of water and the states in which it can be found in nature.
- Identify and describe minerals according to their charateristics.
- Know the characteristics of air.
- Describe and identify the main atmospheric phenomena.
- Recognise that human activity pollutes the natural landscape.
- Raise awareness and demonstrate a respectful attitude  towards the enviroment.

VOCABULARY
- Water, states, solid, liquid, vapour.
- Minerals, rocks, uses, jewellery, buildings, metals, shine, texture, hardness.
- Weather, atmosphere, oxigen, rainy, cloudy, snowy, stormy, hail, foggy, windy, sunny.
- Enviroment, reuse, reduce, recycle, pollute.

1º EDUCACIÓN PRIMARIA. NATURAL SCIENCE. UNIT 3: I WALK THROUGH NATURE

In this unit students will start to identify between living and non-living things around them.
Then, we will study animals in greater depth.

Our main objects are:
- Diferentiate between living and non living things and recognise the basic chaarteristics of living things.
- Recognise plants and animals as living things.
- Classify animals according to their physical charasteristics, how they move and where they live.
- Classify animals based on how they are born (viviparous ans oviparous) and their diet (carnivore, herbivore or omnivore).
- Understand the differences between domestic and wild animals.

MAIN VOCABULARY:
- Born, eat, breathe, grow, reproduce, die.
- Legs, wings, feathers, fur, scales, fins.
- Herbivore, carnivore, omnivore.
- Viviparous, oviparous,
- Domestic, wild.
